14:00 – 16:00
CIRS Debates This House Believes.... TBC   CIRS invites you to our first Oxford Union-style debate, a formal, adversarial format modelled on one of the world's oldest and most respected deliberative traditions; two sides, one motion, and a room that decides who makes the better case.   Unlike a panel discussion, this is a debate in the truest sense: prepared speakers argue opposing positions, face live challenges from the floor, and attempt to move the room. The winner is determined not by who starts with the most support, but by how many votes they change.   Expect tight arguments, pointed questions, and a vote that actually matters. Whether you're coming to speak from the floor, to be persuaded, or to watch the format in action, all are welcome.   Format Pre- and post-debate vote — the swing determines the outcome Open floor contributions from all attendees Formal Chair throughout   Speakers Proposition: TBC TBC Opposition: TBC TBC Chair: Connor Maloney – President, Curtin International Relations Society Details Date: TBC Time: TBC Location: TBC
